Taekwondo

What is Taekwondo?
Taekwondo (also spelled Tae Kwon-Do) is an integrated and complete martial arts system for personal improvement and self defense. Tae Kwon-Do is also a unique form of physical activity which exercises your whole body, contributing to better mental and physical fitness. The aim of Martial Arts training is to improve the whole person: body and mind. As a student at Franklin Martial Arts Taekwondo you will gain strength, stamina, flexibility, quickness, coordination, concentration and balance.

Taekwondo kids learn life lessons!
During your child's first introductory private lesson, we will teach them about eye-contact, self-control and respect.  But our kids' character development program doesn't end there.  Throughout the physical martial arts curriculum of punches, blocks, kicking drills, self defense, traditional and modern exercises, our certified instructors will set short term goals for our students, along with conducting mat-chats which help our young athletes learn important life lessons and build traits such as confidence, team work, better focus, good school grades, self esteem and leadership.
